FIFA is preparing for an exciting year with the upcoming World Cup. The 2026 tournament will take place in 16 cities across Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Additionally, FIFA has selected Miami as one of the host cities. In fact, Signify Creative attended several Miami tourism and business events last year. We’ve heard conversations about a city-wide rollout in June to support Miami’s FIFA games. For the event and entertainment community, this is a great time to observe and gain insight from the FIFA rollout especially with regards to the conflict involving Iran and the Strait of Hormuz. After speaking with several officials, we’ve gathered three key tips that stood out.
Prime the public early with branding, FIFA did it.

In 2023, the FIFA committee unveiled their branding for Miami’s upcoming series of games. By all means, use the poster art, branding, and street signage as inspiration for your next experiential marketing project. Of course, we’re watching and taking notes. The #WeAre26 brand campaign was done with distinct color palette with Miami in mind. Equally important, the colorful brand elements really speak to the vibrant soccer culture that Miami locals know all too well. In fact, we began seeing the FIFA organization engaging our business ecosystem early. With such a sound, effective strategy, Miami FIFA’s branding rollout will be the one to watch in June.
Watch parties are great ideas and are not only for spectator sports.

Based on our conversations with officials, Miami will host watch parties. Soccer or Futból in the Spanish-speaking world has the most loyal fans in the world. Consequently, no matter how loyal the fans are, Miami’s increasing traffic conditions remain in gridlock. What was the city’s creative solution? Host watch parties throughout the city for fans! This is a great idea, as visitors who couldn’t buy tickets can still meet with other loyal fans. Additionally, not only is this good for visitors, but it’s also a sound economic strategy for our local businesses and economy.
Use Augmented and Extended Reality add to the experience.
We’ve heard some rumblings that Augmented Reality (AR) and Extended Reality (XR). This technology may be deployed for the rollout. Our guess is that AR and XR will be helpful for way-finding for Miami visitors. Equally important, Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix 2026 partnered with Apple Maps to provide an immersive Map experience this year so we’re sure FIFA should do someone similar. Ultimately, AR and XR are rising trends in immersive experiences. In addition to way-finding, there may be more ways to experience the games this year.
